Rana Cooking School is a privately-run facility set up to provide cookery certifications to individuals. Our business address and contact details are given as a link at the bottom of this page.

Your information

When you purchase a course through our website, we record your name, address, contact details, course purchased and any dietary requirements.

How we use your data

1. Email:

If you register for a course with Rana Cooking School, you consent to be contacted about your booking via the email address provided.We will email you at the time of booking with confirmation. We will also email a few days before the class begins as a reminder. Once you join we will create an another e-mail ID for you with our own purchased domain name and from that time onward all you correspondence will be in that e-mail only. We will not use your email address for marketing.

2. Newsletter:

When you access the Rana Cooking School website, you have the option to be added on to our Newsletter which details workshops, events and other Cookery school news. You are free to unsubscribe at any time.

3. Telephone:

At the time of booking we request your telephone number.We will only call you if we have a query about your booking or need to let you know about any change in circumstances such as tutor illness, extreme weather, or class cancellation.

4. Address:

This data is used for statistical purposes to analyse where course attendees are travelling from. It is also useful to know where attendees live in order to provide appropriate directions and, in extreme weather conditions, to assess whether the course should go ahead or not. We do not do anything else with this data.

5. Dietary Requirements:

We use this information to provide you with suitable ingredients for your classes.

Our legal basis for processing your information is to fulfil a contract and legitimate interests.

Information sharing

Under no circumstances will any of your information be shared with anyone outside of Rana Cooking School. Where we use outside contractors e.g to maintain our website, we will obtain written confirmation to ensure they also abide by our regulations and do not share, or allow anyone else to access, your data

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure your information.

Your access rights

As a policy of our school and the notification by India Government, we are supposed to store and maintain your personal data for eight years after completion of your program with us. You are entitled to know what information we are storing about you and to ask us to modify or delete it. Once this tenure is over we by ourselves will delete all your information and you may also mail us with a request to delete your data from our database – info@ranacookingschool.com. Any non-identifiable information such as workshop title, date and fees paid, will be retained for statistical purposes. If you would like to see a copy of your data or require your data to be updated, please also contact us using the details below. Please allow 5 working days for your request to be completed.
